Basement Cleanouts in Lilburn
We haul out the boxes, broken furniture and old appliances that pile up downstairs. Our crew does the lifting, carries it all up the stairs and out of your home, then sweeps the floor. You point, we load.
A basement you can use again
Basements fill up slowly. A box after a move, a couch when the new one came, a treadmill nobody uses. One day the stairs are the only clear path.
A basement cleanout is junk removal for that one room, plus the hard part: the stairs. We bring the crew and the dollies, work around tight turns and low ceilings, and take everything out to our truck. You don't touch a thing unless you want to.
Timing matters here. Georgia summers are humid, and spring storms can push water into a basement. Cardboard and old fabric soak that up and start to smell. Clearing out before the wet months means less for mold to grow on and a clear floor if you ever need a plumber or a waterproofing crew down there.
What the cleanout includes
All the carrying
We lift and carry every item up the stairs and out the door. Bulky pieces get wrapped or tipped as needed so walls and railings stay clean.
Furniture and mattresses
Old sofas, recliners, bed frames, desks and mattresses. If a piece is too big for the stairwell, we take it apart on site. Our furniture removal page covers more on this.
Appliances and exercise gear
Old freezers, washers, dryers, dehumidifiers, treadmills and weight benches. Heavy items go up with straps and two people, not one.
Boxes, bins and loose clutter
Damp cardboard, broken shelving, old toys, holiday decorations you've replaced. We bag the loose stuff so nothing spills on the way out.
Sorting what goes where
Usable items get set aside for donation when we can. Metal and other recyclables are separated. The rest goes to the proper disposal site.
A swept floor when we leave
Once the room is empty we sweep up. You see the bare floor and walls, which makes it easy to spot leaks or cracks.
Signs it's time to clear the basement
A musty smell that won't quit
That smell often comes from wet cardboard and old fabric. Getting them out is the first step to drying the room.
Boxes soft at the bottom
If the bottom of a box gives when you lift it, moisture is getting in. What's inside is likely ruined, and the box is feeding mildew.
You can't reach the water heater or panel
Your water heater, furnace and breaker panel need clear access. A service tech shouldn't have to climb over junk.
A repair or remodel is coming
Waterproofing, new flooring or finishing the space all start with an empty room. Clearing it first keeps that project on schedule.
You're selling or moving
Buyers and inspectors look hard at basements. An empty one shows its true size and condition.
How the day goes
- 1
You call, we come look
Call us and we'll set up a free, no-obligation on-site estimate. We walk the basement with you, check the stairs and doorways, and note anything heavy or awkward.
- 2
You get a clear price
We give you upfront pricing with no hidden fees before any work starts. If something changes, you hear about it first.
- 3
We protect the path out
On the day, we lay down floor protection where needed and pad tight corners on the stairs. Then we start carrying.
- 4
Load, sort and sweep
Items go up and into the truck, with donations and recyclables kept apart. When the room is empty, we sweep and do a last walk with you.
What changes the price
The biggest part of the price is how much room your things take up in our truck. A basement also brings stairs and extra weight that a curbside pickup doesn't. We check all of that at the free estimate, and the price you hear is the price you pay.
- How much is down there
- A handful of furniture pieces costs less than a basement packed wall to wall. We go by how much truck space it takes.
- Getting it out
- Low ceilings, tight turns and narrow stairs make the carry slower. A walkout door to the outside speeds things up.
- The heavy pieces
- Safes, pianos, chest freezers and cast-iron weights need more people and more time to move without risk.
- Wet or water-damaged things
- Wet boxes, soaked carpet and drywall scraps are far heavier than dry ones, and the disposal site charges for that weight.
Questions about basement cleanouts
Something not covered here? (404) 574-2871
Should I carry things upstairs before you arrive?
No. Leave everything in place. Hauling it up the stairs is our job. Just tell us or mark what you're keeping.
Will you haul old paint and cleaning products?
Some of these can't go in a regular load and need special handling. Mention them on the call and at the estimate, and we'll tell you what we can take and what has to go to a separate drop-off.
What if something is too big for the stairs?
We break it down. Plenty of old sofas and sectionals were moved in before a railing or wall went up. We bring tools and take them apart right there.
What time of year is best to clear a basement?
Late winter into early spring, ahead of heavy rain and summer humidity. An empty basement dries quicker and leaks are easier to spot. We still do them in every season.
Can you clear the garage as well?
Yes, and lots of people book both for one visit. Our garage cleanouts page has details. Tell us on the call so we bring a big enough truck.
Get your basement back before the wet months
Call us and we'll come walk through it with you. You'll know the price before we lift a single box.
