Storage Unit Cleanouts in Lilburn
We empty storage units so you can stop paying rent on things you no longer use. We meet you at the facility, load everything, set aside what can be donated or recycled, and leave the unit swept and ready to hand back.
When a storage unit has done its job
Most units start as a short-term fix. A move, a remodel, a parent downsizing. Then the months add up and the bill keeps coming. A storage unit cleanout ends that. We take out everything you don't want, set aside anything you're keeping, and close the unit out in one trip when the load allows.
Timing matters more than people expect. A lot of folks around Lilburn clear their unit in spring, before the summer heat and humidity set in. A unit without climate control gets hot and damp by July, and boxes, mattresses and upholstered chairs start to pick up mildew. Clear it earlier and more of it is still worth donating.
Not sure what's even in there? That's normal. We sort it with you on the day.

What a storage unit cleanout covers
- 01
All the lifting and loading
Our crew carries everything from the back wall to our truck. Dressers, boxed books, exercise equipment, old mattresses. You don't need to stage anything by the door first.
- 02
Sorting as we load
We pull out furniture, housewares and clothing in good shape for donation and set metal and electronics aside for recycling. The rest goes to the proper disposal site. Point out anything you want to keep and we'll set it aside for you.
- 03
Stored furniture and appliances
Sofas, bed frames, refrigerators and washers are common in units. We handle them the same way we do on our furniture removal and appliance removal jobs, including the awkward pieces that were hard to get in.
- 04
Sweep-out at the end
Once the unit is empty, we sweep it and pick up loose packing material, broken pallets and debris. Most facilities expect a clean, empty unit at move-out, and that's what we leave.
- 05
Working within facility rules
We follow the facility's gate hours and loading rules and bring our own truck. Nothing of yours ends up in the facility's trash bins.
Questions about Storage Unit Cleanouts?
Call(404) 574-2871Signs it's time to clear out your unit
You haven't opened it in a year
If you can't list what's inside, you likely don't need most of it. The rent you've paid may already be more than the contents are worth.
The move or remodel is finished
The unit was meant to bridge a gap. Once you're settled in your home, it's just another monthly bill.
It smells musty when the door goes up
That smell means moisture is getting into cardboard, fabric and wood. It gets worse with every humid month, and damp items are much harder to donate.
A rate increase notice showed up
Facilities often raise rates on long-term tenants. A new notice is a good moment to decide what's worth keeping.
You're settling a family member's things
Clearing a unit after a loss or a move to assisted living is heavy work in more ways than one. We go at your pace, keep what matters aside, and handle the rest.
How the day goes
- 1
Free on-site estimate
We meet you at the unit, look at what's there and how it's packed, and give you an upfront price before any work starts. No hidden fees get added later.
- 2
Pick a time
We set a time that fits the facility's access hours and your schedule. Same-day and next-day service available, depending on the week.
- 3
Load and sort
You open the gate and the unit and show us what stays. We load the rest, sorting donations and recycling as we go.
- 4
Sweep and walk-through
We sweep the floor and walk through the empty unit with you. Then you lock up or pull your lock, give the facility notice, and the rent stops.
What sets the price
We price mostly by how much room your things take up in our truck, plus anything that needs special handling. You get the price at the estimate, before we lift a single box. If something changes on the day, we tell you before we keep going.
- How full the unit is
- A half-full unit costs less than one packed to the ceiling. The size on the lease matters less than what's actually inside.
- Heavy or special items
- Appliances, pianos, safes and stacks of tile or stone take more labor, and some carry extra disposal fees. We name them on the estimate so nothing comes as a surprise.
- Access at the facility
- A ground-floor drive-up unit loads fast. An upstairs interior unit with an elevator and a long hallway takes more time.
- What can be donated or recycled
- Items that go to donation or recycling instead of the landfill can help keep disposal costs down.
Storage unit cleanout questions
Do I have to be there the whole time?
Someone needs to open the gate and the unit, either you or someone you trust. Some facilities let you add a name to the access list, so ask the office. Once we're in and you've shown us what stays, you don't have to stay for the whole job.
Will you take everything in the unit?
Almost everything. We can't take hazardous materials like paint, gasoline, propane tanks or pool chemicals. Most facilities don't allow those in units anyway, so they're rarely an issue.
Some of my boxes are wet or moldy. Will you still take them?
Yes. Damp boxes, mildewed mattresses and water-stained furniture are common, especially after a long humid summer. We bag what needs it and haul it all out so you aren't handling it yourself.
What happens to the things that are still good?
Usable furniture, housewares and clothing go to donation when they're in good enough shape. Metal and electronics go to recycling. Only what can't be reused or recycled goes to disposal.
Do you clear units at facilities outside Lilburn?
Yes. We work in Lilburn and nearby towns, including Snellville, Lawrenceville, Tucker and Norcross. Tell us where the facility is when you call and we'll set up the estimate there.
